At CD&I we pride ourselves on not cutting corners. We have a comprehensive knowledge of materials; sealers, paints, waterproofers, plasters and know how to apply and use them correctly. In our fifteen years in Hong Kong we have come across just about every scenario and have solutions for everything we might be faced with: mould and damp; waterproofing issues; flaking, cracking and bubbling paint and plaster.
We are aware of local and global new products and are aware of new safety legislation and changing trends. We also try to be as environmentally responsible as possible. We are committed to carrying out thorough preparation work in order to give you the best result possible. However we can also undertake smaller projects such as matching the existing paint on the wall or ceiling in order to patch in damaged areas.
The world of paint is continually evolving and there are many brands to choose from: ICI; Dulux; Permoglaze; Nippon; Camel; Flower; Sikkens to name some of the more popular brands. Many paints have similar qualities such as washable, mould resistant or hairline crack covering. There are also environmentally friendly paints available which are ideal for allergy sufferers, pregnant woman, children or infants, and the elderly or sick. The popular brands such as Lifemaster carry virtually no VOCs (volatile organic compounds), have no smell and are waterbased. Clay paint made by Eco claims to regulate humidity inside the home and is totally natural. |
Plastering
No plastering job is too big or small.We have the experience to select the correct materials, carry out the best procedures and calculate the drying times for an excellent result every time. Efficient plastering requires skilled and experienced workmen and when done properly will eliminate unecessesary sanding and finishing.This saves time, money and mess for our customers!
We carry out all work using the same professional procedure.
Internal work
Remove all window coverings and breakable items.
Move furniture to centre of room and cover with plastic
Remove pictures, shelves, old hooks and fittings from walls
Tape up baseboards and door frames if required
Loosen light fittings on ceiling if being painted and cover floor area.
Treat, repair and seal walls, ceilings, woodwork as required.
Keep site clean and liveable oand minimise disruption to the resident.
A final inspection done with the resident before cleaning the site for handover.
External work
Erect bamboo scaffold if required.
Scrape seal and render any damaged areas of walls.
Apply waterproof paint such as Dulux Weathershield or Viva. |
